Publishing is a daunting industry, but I want to help authors wherever I can, which is why I also offer freelance editing services. With more than a decade behind me working as a translator, transcriptionist, editor, and proofreader, along with a degree in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh, language has always been at the heart of my skill set. My love of books has seen me offer critiques and beta reading to fellow writers over the years as well.

Please note: In line with the AALA (Association of American Literary Agents) Canon of Ethics, I provide these services strictly as a freelancer to authors whom I do NOT represent. If you request any of the services detailed below, you will not be able to submit your work to me as a literary agent, and I will be unable to represent you or your work.
Query Letter
Includes two passes at your query letter.
The first pass will offer in-line comments and a more general summary.
The second pass will give feedback on any changes implemented.

Developmental Edit
In a developmental edit, I will look at your full manuscript, providing in-line comments as I read before offering a detailed editorial letter.
The editorial letter will cover your manuscript's strengths, areas for improvement, and feedback on more specific aspects, such as Setting/Worldbuilding, Plot and Structure, Characters, Style, Dialogue, and Romance (if any).

Query Package
Includes two passes at your query letter (as outlined for the "Query Letter" service), one pass at your synopsis, and one pass at your opening pages (up to 3,000 words).
In-line comments and a general summary will be provided for all items.

Copy Editing
With copy editing, I will carefully read through your manuscript and correct any issues related to grammar, punctuation, spelling, and awkward phrasing.
I'll use tracked changes so you can see any alterations made.
