ABOUT

Rhian MacGillivray is an author of upmarket, contemporary romance, and fantasy fiction, and a literary agent at Birch Literary.

Originally from Scotland, Rhian has lived in southern Spain for the last 14 years with her husband and two daughters. After gaining a degree in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh, she has worked for 13 years as a translator, editor and proofreader, working for major companies, film festivals, universities and organisations around the world. She joined Birch Literary as a literary agent in 2025.

Her debut novel, The Cards We're Dealt, was published in May 2025.
